About the Gig:
 
We have an open Business Development Sales Representative, a true hunter role for one of our direct end customers located in metropolitan Detroit. The ideal candidate identifies, wins, maintains, and expands relationships with ISV/VAR partners. This position is responsible for achieving sales, profitability, and partner recruitment objectives. The candidate should have around 5-10 years of experience with the essential responsibilities. A point of sale background is highly desired.  
 
​Business Development Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:
  • Identify, prospect and source new strategic partner opportunities
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in new strategic accounts.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned strategic accounts
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner company on-boarding objectives and partners expectations.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Sells through partner organizations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
  • Drives adoption of company programs among new strategic partners.
  • Work with sales management to devise sales strategies and plans.
  • Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
  • Build a sales pipeline of business opportunities to ensure sales targets are met.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, plus the proven ability to multi-task independently, with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced and highly motivated sales professional, comfortable with carrying a quota and ensuring that revenue and sales targets are consistently met.
  • Work closely with Senior Financial Analyst to integrate performance and management objectives with financial performance of the organization.
  • Work with the Senior Vice President of Sales and Inside Sales Manager to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.

  • The candidate will be required to remain informed, track, and communicate any innovative technological advancements in the payment integration space.  
​Business Development Sales Representative Job Requirements: 
  • 5-10 years of direct sales experience selling into the ISV/VAR market is required.
  • Understanding POS technology.
  • Experience in the payment gateway or payment integration space for both card-present and card-not-present payments.
  • Solid understanding of EMV technology and its certification process.
  • PCI-DSS and PA-DSS Compliance.
  • Currently in a sales role in which they are finding and developing relationships for a sales organization, specifically within the ISV/VAR marketplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive quantifiable business results with strategic direction and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of ecommerce solutions (e.g., shopping cart technology, payment checkout, etc).
  • Must have a large Rolodex of current targets.
  • Must have a proven track record as a hunter in new partner/business relationship identification and development.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategy and how sales processes and models work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing in business administration, preferred.
