About the Gig: 
We are seeking a Network Systems Administrator.The role is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of our direct client. Application Ecosystem to ensure application availability to all users. Serves as a technical expert in the area of systems administration. Maintains network and server hardware, and software needed to support network and system availability. Designs and installs Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, and Internet and Intranet Systems using industry best practices.

Network Systems Administrator Job Responsibilities and Requirements: 
  • Installation, support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring and performance of all windows server architecture(s) including Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008, and 2012 and the following Windows Server technologies: a) Active Directory Domain Services, b) DNS, c) DHCP, d) Windows Updates, e) Windows Firewall, f) Group Policy Management, g) Failover Clustering, h) System Center Configuration Manager, i) LDAP, and j) PowerShell.
  • Support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring, and performance of all E-mail architecture(s), including Exchange 2010, 2013, and Office 365 using Windows Technologies including Azure Directory Sync Tool, Power Shell, and Exchange Online Protection.
  • Installation, support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring and performance of all Unix architecture(s), including AIX, CentOS, SUSE, FreeBSD, Ubuntu, and RedHat.
  • Installation, support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring and performance of all Server Virtualization architecture(s), including the following VMware vSphere, and Windows Hyper-V technologies: a) Physical Host installation and configuration, b) clustering, c) dynamic resources sharing, d) cluster shared volumes, e) provisioning, f) updates, g) performance monitoring and tuning, g) VMware VCenter, h) System Center Virtual Machine Manager, and i) System Center Operations Manager.
  • Support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring, and performance of all Network architecture(s), including routing, switching (VLANs, Spanning-Tree, VSS), and wireless for Cisco and Dell technologies. 
  • Support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring, and performance of all Storage architecture(s), including Direct Attached Storage, Network Attached Storage, and Storage Area Network (EMC, NetApp).
  • Support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring, and performance of all Network Security architecture(s), including Firewalls, VPN, Remote Access, Spam filters, and Web Filters.
  • Responsible for maintaining data storage integrity and performance, including creation and management of backups, and the restoration of data.
  • Contribute to the support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring, and performance of all Database architecture(s), including SQL Server, Progress, and MySQL.
  • Contribute to the support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring, and performance of all Web platform architecture(s) with technologies including IIS, Apache, Java, and Public DNS.
  • Support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring, and performance of all Data Center Monitoring architecture(s), including System Center Operations Manager, Solarwinds, Eaton, APC, and Cacti.
  • Contribute to the support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring, and performance of all Data Center Power and Cooling architecture(s). 
  • Installation, support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring and performance of all desktop architecture(s) including all Windows and Mac OS X desktop platforms to install, image, support, and manage, the following desktop technologies: a) Applications, b) Drivers, and c) Updates.
  • Support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring, and performance of all Desktop Security architecture(s), including local Firewalls, antivirus, and data encryption.
  • Assist in project deployment, planning, and implementation for various projects.
  • Report project, task, and incident progress and completion thereof at required intervals.
  • Provide superior, prompt support user group(s) across all facilities.
  • Keep all critical systems operating at peak performance levels.
  • Research, recommend, and document all systems, software, and network upgrades including vendor sourcing, selection and price solicitation.
  • Tier 1 support for all critical and non-critical systems.
  • Guide and provide mentoring support to any Technical Support Specialists hired.
  • On-call and afterhours duties as required by projects, failures, upgrades and/or support needs.
  • Assist in, and document requirements gathering from project stakeholders and customers.
  • Complete other System Administrative tasks as required.
